Scrip and the Purveyor: Farming Endgame Currency

Scrip and the Purveyor: Farming Endgame Currency

Scrip (Legendary Scrip) is Fallout 76's second endgame currency. You spend it at Purveyor Murmrgh in The Berkeley Springs to buy random 1★/2★/3★ legendaries. The main channel for stockpiling Legendary Modules and crafting your own god-rolls.

Where to get scrip

Drop a legendary weapon or armor into the Legendary Exchange Machine — you get 5/10/15 scrip per 1★/2★/3★. Daily cap is 100 scrip from exchange. Scrip also drops as rewards from Daily Ops, Public Events, and seasonal missions.

The 200 scrip daily limit

The game caps you at 200 scrip per 24h from exchanging + ~100 from other sources = ~300 scrip/day ceiling. You can't stockpile beyond that. Main rule: never skip a day.

What to buy from the Purveyor

Murmrgh's stock rotates every Wednesday at 8:00 EST. She sells 5 categories: weapons, armor, heavy, melee, throwables. Prices: 1★ = 50 scrip, 2★ = 250, 3★ = 500. Most profitable — heavy weapons 3★ (you might roll a Holy Fire or Tesla Cannon).

3★ Heavy roll strategy

Spend 500 scrip on a 3★ heavy weapon → ~5% chance to roll Holy Fire. If it's a god-roll (Bloodied/+50 limb/+25 fire dmg) — that's $15-25 on Gameflip. If not — toss it back into the exchange, get 15 scrip back. Net ROI: positive.

Legendary Modules

Murmrgh also sells Legendary Modules — the key ingredient for crafting new legendaries. 1 module = 50 scrip. You'll want a stockpile of 20-30 modules to fully roll a weapon to 3★.

Bottom line

Daily routine: 1) Exchange all 1★ legendaries → 100 scrip. 2) Run Daily Ops Elite → 200-400 scrip. 3) Wednesday at 8:00 EST → buy 3★ heavy from Murmrgh. 4) Not a god-roll → exchange it back. This routine over a month nets at least 1 god-roll Holy Fire or Plasma Caster.
