A CAMP vendor is the main way to earn passively in Fallout 76. One well-tuned vendor brings 5,000-10,000 caps overnight without your input. The key: put it in the right place and pick the right prices.
Where to place your CAMP
Location is everything. Top-5 spots: 1) Whitespring Station — main hub, 80% of the server passes through. 2) Foundation — Settler respawn. 3) Crater — Raider respawn. 4) Watoga — close to Whitespring, quieter. 5) Top of the World — Pitt teleport pad. Just don't put it in the Forest — nobody goes there.
What to sell
Top categories: stable flux (350-500 caps each), legendary modules (40-50 caps each), Aid items (RadAway 60, Stimpak 30), ammo (especially Fusion Cores at 100 caps each), plans (1,000 to 30,000 caps depending on rarity).
Pricing — the sweet spot
Too high — nobody buys. Too low — flippers clear you out in an hour. Cross-check against reddit/r/Market76 or use this formula: Gameflip dollar price × 200 = caps. Example: a plan sells for $5 on Gameflip — list it at 1,000 caps.
Vendor marketing
Set your CAMP name to something like "CHEAP STUFF", "FLUX 350", or "FREE STIMS" — it draws players from the server list. Build a clean storefront — players visit nice CAMPs more often. List 1-2 items at 1 cap — feeder customers love that.
Top-selling items
#1 — Plans for armor & weapons (plans = money). #2 — Stable Flux (everyone needs it for crafting). #3 — Treasure Notes. #4 — Glow Mask, event masks (right after events). #5 — Bobbleheads/Magazines (especially Heavy/Commando ones).
Bethesda limits
Your vendor holds a maximum of 120 items. You can't sell quest items, custom plans (those that didn't drop for you), or items priced above 40k caps. Also remember the 40,000 caps per-character cap.
