Beginner's Guide to Legendary Mods (Fallout 76)

Legendary mods are the single biggest source of power in Fallout 76 endgame. Without them, even meta-tier weapons are just standard guns. Here is how they work, broken down for new players.

Stars and effect slots

Every legendary weapon has 1 to 4 stars — each star equals one legendary effect attached to the gun. A 3★ Bloodied / Explosive / +25 limb damage Fixer is the gold-standard god-roll for a new Commando build. 4★ adds a fourth effect from the Mutant prefix pool (added in Skyline Valley).

Top 5 prefixes you want

1) Bloodied — +95% damage at low HP, the king of meta. 2) Anti-Armor — −50% enemy armor, scales late-game. 3) Vampire's — heals you on every hit, no stim spam needed. 4) Two Shot — fires 2 projectiles per shot (post-nerf still strong). 5) Quad — +300% magazine size on Fixers and Tesla rifles.

Where to farm them yourself

Public events (Eviction Notice, Mothman Equinox, Beasts of Burden), Elite-tier Daily Ops for the legendary endgame rewards, the Purveyor in The Berkeley Springs for crafted scrip rolls. You can also craft them at a weapons workbench using Legendary Cores + Legendary Modules + Stable Flux.

Ready-made god-rolls in our shop

Our catalog stocks 21 meta weapons with verified 3★ god-rolls — no rerolling, no Purveyor RNG. If you do not want to grind for weeks, buying a ready-rolled gun is the fastest path to endgame readiness.

Common mistakes

Don't scrap a 3★ legendary just because the effects look bad — even bad effects can be re-rolled. Always check the level (3★ at lvl 45-50 is worth keeping). And remember that "Bloodied" requires you to maintain low HP — pair it with Unyielding armor and Class Freak perk for the full meta build.
